It has been just over a week since our community fun day and to be honest its still not quite sunk in how successful it was.
The headline grabber was the money we raised either directly or indirectly from the event however what struck me the most was the people and the community spirit. I am from the generation that is always being told “things are not what they was”, If that’s the case things must have been pretty good.
Numerous people gave up their time to organise the event hold stall’s and promote the event, there were also numerous companies and individuals who donated raffle prizes. Both the local and wider community have also been great in supporting the event people have gone out of their way to help and spread the message about what we are trying to achieve and we are extremely grateful of the support we have received.
I think it’s important to recognise what can be achieved when people believe in other people,an idea or a vision because maybe we can make the world a little bit better if we can harness what good is out there and all do a little bit.
